4/25/2018 To Be Profound
The first charitable contribution to be made under the leagues "Major Impact" campaign is officially $110 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of St. Louis, MO.
It takes personal experience with a cause to bring us to run a race, work at a pet shelter, collect donations, among the many ways we could bring attention to an affliction, injustice, community betterment, etc.
While there are professional studies, research and many many people involved in learning about things that add trials to life, in order to improve or educate others, the best advocacy seems to be personal fundraisers with subjects that 'make us go hmmmm?' Google the results from the 'Ice Bucket Challenge' and you'll see what I mean.
Minor Threat JRD are committed to bringing attention to these things through activity. We are committed to being seen AND heard. We are committed to having a major impact on the track as well as within our community.
This first act of community awareness is dedicated to my friend Camden, who has made me aware of Muscular Dystrophy through his personal experience. His story is profound and has significantly impacted my life.
